The Ring-Tailed Cat is member of the raccoon family and recognized as Arizona's state mammal.  Wildly distributed in the southwest, these elusive animals mostly inhabit rocky desert areas and are mostly seen at night.  Their diet is varied and consists from everything from berries, to insects to other small animals.  The Ring-Tailed Cat is smaller than a house cat and were once tamed by miners to keep their cabins free of mice.

This version measures 9" X 24" including the tail.
